In the same vain as Young-ha Kim talks about in the previous post I think there is something to be said about creativity in that we are most certainly all creative, and inherently feel the need to express our self’s, although most people associate this creativity with putting pen to paper in the form drawing or writing this is not necessarily true. Apart from the important issues talked about By Ron Finley in this lecture, he is also a great example of how your creativity and expression can take nearly any form you want it to, and in his case even help the community!
Ron Finley plants vegetable gardens in South Central LA — in abandoned lots, traffic medians, along the curbs. Why? For fun, for defiance, for beauty and to offer some alternative to fast food in a community where “the drive-thrus are killing more people than the drive-bys.”
